Launching in May 2021: ADEI Learning Lab for White Choral Leaders
Chorus America is launching a new four-week online learning program, primarily for white choral leaders, that will address the fundamental concepts of access, diversity, equity, and inclusion (ADEI). Participants will be assigned readings, complete coursework, and engage in small group discussions with each other and with program faculty.
This is the first of a new series of ADEI programs that will more specifically serve the needs of distinct cultural affinity groups. In our work facilitating programs with a specific ADEI focus, we have learned that our BIPOC choral colleagues need different kinds of support than our white colleagues do. We are developing these new ADEI programs with this in mind.
